Matthew Rott

Matt Rott grew up on the island of Oahu, where he started surfing at a young age. A professional writer and journalist focused on adventure sports, he has contributed to virtually every surf magazine in existence, in addition to serving as editor-at-large for Magicseaweed and Surfline (the former and current largest online surf platforms, respectively) under the pen name Matt Rode. Matt currently serves as a freelance writer and editor, creating content on a wide variety of topics. He previously spent a decade teaching English as a second language at the high school and middle school levels.
